Quality testing is one of the most important parts of offering research peptides responsibly. At Mint Peptide Lab, every product we offer goes through an in-house verification process before it reaches you. Here's a look at how that works.
What Is HPLC?
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is a laboratory technique used to separate, identify, and quantify the components within a sample. For peptides, HPLC helps verify that a given product actually contains the compound it claims to — and at what level of purity.
What Is Mass Spectrometry?
Mass Spectrometry (MS) measures the mass of molecules within a sample, which allows researchers to confirm a compound's molecular identity. When used alongside HPLC, Mass Spectrometry adds another layer of verification, helping confirm that a peptide is not only pure, but correctly identified.
Why We Test In-House
Combining HPLC and Mass Spectrometry analysis allows us to verify both purity (how much of the sample is the actual peptide, versus other compounds or impurities) and identity (confirming the sample is, in fact, the peptide it's labeled as) before any product is made available.
Why We Don't Publish a Certificate of Analysis for Every Batch
Because of how frequently our inventory turns over, we don't publish individual batch-specific Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for every production run. Testing dates and batch numbers update regularly, and publishing real-time documentation for each one isn't practical — it can also lead to outdated or mismatched paperwork circulating. Instead, we back every product with the same rigorous in-house testing standard, and we're happy to answer specific testing questions when you reach out.
